Why is proudspire manor so expensive

What house in Skyrim has a secret room? Can you get the stone of Barenziah without buying Proudspire Manor? How do you pickpocket a key? How do I get the key to Proudspire Manor in Skyrim? How much does Proudspire Manor cost? Where is the secret room in Proudspire Manor? How do you get the house in solitude for free? What is the most valuable item in Skyrim?

Honeyside has a better view then that. In oblivion the skingrad house was the most expensive but it was worth every penny and the best house in the game. At least until the battlehorn castle plug in. Somebody will pay that price, somewhere Probably because it is a building in the wealthy capitol of Skyrim? Or maybe they just needed "the" expensive house and chose the obvious one. It looks big. Well that, and the fact Winghelm is old, cold, and is heavily in need of repair.

Oh, and the murders and necromantic rituals. Weird, letting something like that bother you, but still it is what it is. If this were Morrowind, would be torn down, rebuilt, covered in gold, would be put on the market free of charge, and it would still be vacant.

Last edited by Br3admax on Sun Dec 09, pm, edited 1 time in total. It is in the Capital, and is the biggest house. It's also located near an alchemist shop, a smelter, and a Thieves Guild fence. Hjerim even has a secret room, though it's poorly lit and doesn't have much storage, and the house requires players to complete several quests before they're able to obtain it.

While Proudspire Manor is the most expensive house in Skyrim - and costs even more to upgrade - it's also one of the best. Proudspire is found in Solitude, and, in addition to coming with lots of space, this three-floor home has a handy alchemy lab and is only a short walk from a nearby market filled with goods. It also has plenty of room to house children's quarters, which don't require players to sacrifice other amenities. Additionally, it's got a nice patio with a view of the landscape.

For completionists, buying Proudspire Manor is also needed to complete the " No Stone Unturned " side quest , since one of the Stones of Barenziah is found inside. The manor is spacious, coming complete with a cooking pot, small garden and other perks, like a forge and alchemy lab. There are plenty of additional benefits, but it has a big downside, in that neither a spouse nor children can move into it.
