Even on this message boards, there seems to be an anti-fsu sentiment for some reason. To this day, I still don't know the real reason behind it. Maybe someone else can comment on this topic.
UF is overrated! And then the rest is ignorance, its like talking about how an orange taste but you never aten a orange before. UF grads love to bring up the "UF reject" thing , but you can't let it get to you. It's all part of the rivalry. The funny thing is that many of us get that last laugh. Like in my case, since I have a few UF grads with my same education, working under me. Many of my Gator friends freely admit that they only say that kind of stuff to get under our FSU skin.
Deep down, most of them don't believe that nonsense. The myth that the UF folks put out is downright silly. Her grandfather received a master's from UF in the s. I think they the UF kids like to say that because they are currently enjoying better rankings than FSU. In fact, for most of history FSU has had the better reputation. This has lead to some resentment for some in the so-called "gator nation". Colleges basically deny people admission these days and no one is "Rejected".
See the person and not the disability! How do you feel now? How is life after the 'miracle' treatment and is there any message that you would like to share with others who are struggling with the same challenges that you faced but that you are also facing here today?
I feel very grateful and life is wonderful for me and my family. Although health issue will continue to always be a big issue for me, I will deal with them each one at a time. The important thing is that young people worldwide with my condition can inspire others to do great things would something I would love to inspire! Aging can make getting around much harder.
Make sure your parents are safe in their own home by following these tips. There is going to come a time when your parents need a little help to safely live in their home.
This is just an inevitable part of life. The goal is to keep your parents as comfortable as possible while also knowing that they will be safe when alone. Luckily, it is fairly easy to make a few adjustments to the house that drastically improve its livability for seniors. These are the four things you must do to help your parents create a safe home as they age. Poor eyesight, reduced hearing, and imbalance put older individuals at risk of falling while moving around the house.
Falling is actually the main cause for injured seniors. Since this is a dangerous problem, you need to remove all fall hazards from their house immediately. Throw rugs, long cords, and old unused furniture all pose a huge risk. Make the house as open as possible. Walking up stairs puts a lot of stress on older bodies. They have to use all of their strength just to go up a flight of stairs.
There is also a major injury risk if they fall while using the stairs. Avoid all of these dangers by adding a stair lift in the house. Stair lifts will safely go up and down the stairs whenever needed with absolutely no risk of injury.
The slippery surfaces in the bathroom make it one of the most dangerous rooms in the house for your older parents. There are several changes you need to make to ensure they stay safe. Put rubber mats inside and outside of the tub to prevent slipping.
Add grab bars in the shower and next to the toilet. It is also a good idea to lower the temperature on the water heater to stop accidental burns in the shower. The best thing you can do to make sure your aging parents are safe in their home is by making regular visits to see them. In addition to spending valuable time with your family, you will also be able to access the house and your parent's well-being during these trips. Make sure some of your visits are unannounced to get a true sense of how they are living.
Your parents took care of you your entire life, so it is now time to repay the favor. Making these changes to the house will let your parents have independent lives in their own home for as long as possible. His music is a unique mixture of chill rap, alt-pop, and bedroom pop. On top of that, his youthful nature is portrayed so exuberantly through social media. He showcases such vulnerability and relatability through his music and personality.
Overall, he's definitely an artist to have on your radar. It's insane to me that he only has about 2,00 monthly listeners on Spotify. He has a sound that would really thrive in today's music scene and I think he is extremely underrated. Definitely give them a listen! His lyrics and flow are so smooth and sounds like he's already an established artist.
He could easily compete with rappers today. While his music discusses girls and drugs, he also uses his platform to advocate for human rights movements like BLM. And yes, every school has its share of bad fans, including Florida.
You will not get one word of argument from me about that. Even some FSU fans hate them, and if you are one of them- bravo. I applaud you. With the raw intelligence of Patrick Star, the logic skills of a four year old explaining why Santa is real, and the moral compass of Somali pirates, FSUTwitter belongs in a video that demonstrates to young kids how not to act. As if all those brilliant phrases really equates to accomplishing anything. How do you think this nasty group of societal misfits reacted when they found out Jameis Winston was being accused of rape?
Never mind that she might have been raped. And how did FSUTwitter treat the reporter who broke the story? With death threats, of course , which caused him to alert the police after he received enough of them. Another notable misadventure of FSUTwitter was their war with Michelle Beadle, who dared call them out for repeated acts of malice and stupidity.
But the most abhorrent treatment of all is saved for some of their fellow FSU fans. It was a screenshot of a description of a particularly violent and disgusting form of medieval torture, meaning that was what this user wanted to do to Katie. Consider yourself warned, and click here to see for yourself at your own risk. Yikes, man. And all because she dared tweet about what Jameis Winston said.
To add to that, these particular fans operate with a sub-standard level of intelligence. Speaking of that chop: I hate it for the exact same reason. The chop represents the Seminole tribe- and Native Americans everywhere- with a movement of the arm that bears striking resemblance to a slow motion video of a chef cutting up a carrot. Making things worse, there are fans who paint their faces with war paint and stick feathers in their hair.
If blackface is considered to be so racist , what makes this any better? FSU had a 29 game winning streak going before Oregon emphatically snapped it. But Oregon is far from the only team to embarrass FSU on a big stage like that.
Five more were against cupcakes Nevada, Bethune Cookman, Idaho, the Citadel and NIU , two more came against Florida teams that combined for 11 wins in those two years, one was against an Oklahoma State team that finished and one was against a Notre Dame team that completely collapsed down the stretch and lost its last five games.
But even that has negligible value: they had to fight for their lives to win the national championship over a team that would have finished had it not benefitted from not one but two of the luckiest plays in college football history, and could have easily been without the benefit of this play. They very nearly lost to what was probably the fifth best team in the SEC, and that was with a month off to prepare for it.
If nothing else, it certainly raises question marks about how different their record might have been had they faced a four week stretch that included Auburn, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina who was good then, remember. Sledgehammering patsies on a weekly basis in the ACC provides FSU with an exponentially less difficult path to navigate to a potential championship than having to scratch and claw to survive each game in the SEC.
And while FSU may very well have torn through the SEC in , the fact that they celebrate an undefeated season while the rest of the country laments not getting to see them try to is frustrating. It can all matter on when you went to school at FSU, what part of the state you are from or whether you hate the color blue or green more — since we all can agree the color orange is horrible.
I could go on for days with this list, but here are the top five reasons who FSU fans should hate the Gators more than the Hurricanes. Next 1 of 6 Prev post. Next: Arrogance at the Start. More College Football News ».
