What is the difference between the eotech 512 and 517

So it is out of the question. An Eotech is similar, just without the 7mm riser. I kind of want to keep my night vision options open. The is curved and raised to fit over standard handguards without a mount. This also gives you the QD option which I think is nice for optics.

It seems having the irons centered would be better The whole "eye wants to center things" everyone preaches about aperture sights would come into play here, right? I see That makes sense. Now I'm on the fence as to which optic I want to get. What are the pro's and con's with each of the two mentioned optic's? I'm going to use a rear A2 sight that will always be there and not be a flip up sight.

My front sight is a "F" marked fixed sight. Give me your opinions of both sights. Thanks, NYH1. A subject beaten to death here. Use the search function. As it's my understanding that the only difference between the and is the location of the controls.

I'm not looking for information comparing any EOTech to any Aimpoint. I couldn't find any specific comparisons of those two optics. If anyone can help me, thanks, I appreciate it. If not, there is really no need to reply. Go to eotech's website and aimpoint's website. Compare the manufacturer specs. Do some leg work and use the search button here. Not a fan of eotechs as the past ones I have had failed. Battery compartment issues. Re: Eotech question or Or an H-1 , actually get an H-1 as it is cheaper and you probably don't need the nightvision settings.

But as mentioned sight picture will be very busy unless you have fold down sights. GrimmRoper Sergeant Full Member. Feb 14, 0 45 Arizona. Re: Eotech question or I would suggest not going with the eotech. While working our range, we have had endless eotech failures: batteries, buttons, compartments, etc.

We have never had an Aimpoint go down. I am sure it will happen someday, but it still hasn't. For the price, I would definitly buy the aimpoint.

I own one and have never regretted it. One of the best rear sites on the market today is the magpul flip up rear site.
